7 Days trekking
Day 1 : Marrakech airport :
You will be welcomed at the airport, before heading to your bed and breakfast for the night.
Day 2 : Marrakech – Tichka Col – Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Zagora – Lgtara :
On the 2nd day you’ll get a 4×4 car from Marrakech to Tichka Pass, the highest and most beautiful road pass in Morocco. After the pass, to the south of Morocco, as you drive to Ouarzazate and Ait Saoun pass then you’ll get to beautiful valley of draa, beautiful views and landscapes in the process of becoming desert.
After lunch here, you will begin the long descent to the famous Valley of Draa with its 185 km of date palms and by Agdez, you will have see some of the most beautiful landscapes in Morocco has to offer. At Zagora, a car will complete the next stretch of road for you and you will find yourself staring out over the great desert plateau lgtara.
36 km from there, you will meet the team of camel man, at a mountain ridge in the desert, deep in the desert evening at Jebel Bani
Day 2 : Lgtara – Achgig oasis :
Beginning of our trip to the desert, we climb the small Col of Lgatara where a panoramic view of the sand dune of chegaga. We discover a true mountain wilderness ( Black Mountain, a few greens, some nomadic Bedouin tents made under hair of goats and camels ). Lunch will be prepared next to Achgig Oasis. Then the descent Lgatara to reach our camp at Achgig Oasis. Night in tents. 3h30 walking.
Day 3 : Achgig Oasis – Labyed :
after your breakfast at the oasis of Achgig, We will trek all morning, the route follows the river till we come out of the mountain and we reach the camp of a nomad family, the nomads live in the high mountains during the torrid summer and come in the desert areas only from autumn to spring. They chose the camping area near an oasis where is a permanent water source and everything is green so that their goats have food. They take the basic foods from the nearest town, where they go with their camels or donkeys. Their camp has a few boulder shacks and a large Berber tent full with everything. One of the huts is actually the kitchen, different from the others ones because it has an earthen furnace which is built directly on the ground., the place is located between mountain and sand dune, called Lbayid. we will have rest with nomad family and we will continue our trekking to reach the dunes,and we will overnight at camp in Lbayed.4 hours walking
Day 4 : lbayed – erg chentouf :
We go down this beautiful desert valley before leaving to meet the vast desert that begins with a large stony plateau. The panoramic view of the desert sand ( dunes Chegaga small far ) is beautiful. By late afternoon, we reach the dunes Chegaga nice walk with the sunset. and we will overnight at camp in erg chentouf.4 hours walking 5 hours walking.
Day 5 : Erg Chentouf – Erg sedrat :
the early morning you can climb on the top of the highest dune in Morocco. From the height of 300 meters, one can see the whole chain of dunes stretching along 40 kilometers. At the early morning hours, the sand ridges are untouched and only the wind streaks trace on the sand surface. you come down to the camp to have your breakfast then we start our journey trekking through the sand dunes till we get to erg sedrat.and we will overnight at camp in Erg sedrat.5 hours walking.
Day 6 : Erg sedrat – Bougarn :
we will be Off Erg sedrat continues with a multitude of small dunes of the desert, east of Bani mountain towards the village Saharan Mhamid El ghizlane and the valley of the Draa. Our lunch will be prepared by our camel man in the tamarisk, and then on to the dunes Bouguern, beatiful little frequented. We can find enough dry wood to light a campfire. 5h walking.
Day 7 : Bougaren – Oued naam :
The revival will be very early to enjoy the sunrise over the beautiful dunes of the desert. We left through a flat desert depetites stones along a less rocky plateau. We ravitaillerons the well on our way, we will reach the end of the afternoon, the dunes of Wadi Nâam to enjoy our last evening meal. night in tents in the beautiful wadi of naan, where nomadic caravans come get water. ( 5 hours 30 minutes of walking )
Day 8 : Oued Naam – Zagora – Marrakech :
End of our tour in the desert, after the greetings from our camel team, we go in 4×4 towards Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas via the Tizi -n- Tichka. to reach Marrakech ( 7 hour drive )
Day 9 : Marrakech airport :
Transfer to the airport.
